Winter Happenings

Texhoma Elementary has had an eventful winter.  We had a "Frozen Day" where we enjoyed "Frozen" activities.  We were thankful to have students from the high school helping.  The kids loved it too.  We had the Rolla Show Choir come to entertain the students and staff.  They are a talented group of students.  The Amarillo Zoo came and brought animals for the students to learn about, see and even touch!  A python feels like a basketball.  We have enjoyed cheering on the Red Devil teams! We look forward to a super spring.

A New Year Has Begun

superhero quote

We all have superpowers and are superheroes.  Just look down our halls!  It’s a new slate and everyone is excited to get moving and use their powers.  We can all work together and everyone will move ahead.  As a team we can set the goal to prosper and be successful.  Between our students, teachers, families, and community, we are all going to have a stellar year and everyone will improve.  We are excited to see so many new faces, staff members and students, in the school this year!

“Oh, the places you'll go! There is fun to be done!
There are points to be scored. There are games to be won.
And the magical things you can do with that ball
will make you the winning-est winner of all.
Fame! You'll be as famous as famous can be,
with the whole wide world watching you win on TV.

Except when they don't
Because, sometimes they won't.

I'm afraid that some times
you'll play lonely games too.
Games you can't win
'cause you'll play against you.”
