Free and Reduced Meals Application

Texhoma ISD announced its policy today that this school year, healthy meals will be offered every school day to all students at no cost. Typically, a student’s household must meet income eligibility requirements to qualify for free or reduced-price meals. However, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued guidance that allows schools to offer meals to all students at no cost for the 2021-2022 school year. Each school/site or central office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed upon request.
While no application or eligibility determination process is required for your student to receive free meals this school year, the income eligibility requirement will likely resume in the 2022-2023 school year.
Apply for Free or Reduced-Price Meals
Families are encouraged to apply for Texas SNAP benefits to receive free meals for their students at school, and their families at home. Families that receive Texas SNAP benefits are eligible for free school meals without submitting a school meal benefits application.
A new meal benefits application must be submitted each school year for those interested in participating in the free or reduced-price meals program.
Only one application is needed for an entire household.
Paper applications are also available from Texhoma Elementary.
Online applications are available in English and Spanish.
To expedite the approval process of a new meal application, we highly recommend that families submit the information online.

Texhoma ISD - Elementary School requires that meals be paid in advance. Payment reminders will be sent each week.
Payment is expected upon receipt of payment reminder. Please keep meal accounts current.
